The Weeknd’s Starboy album marked a bold shift into R&B-pop fusion, and one of its most hauntingly beautiful moments arrives with "Stargirl Interlude." This eighth track on the project features a rare but captivating collaboration with Lana Del Rey, whose velvety vocals weave through The Weeknd’s signature atmospheric production. Released in 2016, the interlude stands out as a dreamy, cinematic pause—a moment where the boundaries between pop and soul dissolve into something ethereal. The track’s moody, slow-burning energy makes it a standout cut, blending Del Rey’s signature melancholy with The Weeknd’s signature blend of intimacy and grandeur.

What makes "Stargirl Interlude" so compelling is its simplicity. The stripped-back instrumentation lets Del Rey’s soft-spoken delivery shine, her words drifting like smoke over a synth-heavy backdrop. The Weeknd’s production ensures the track feels both luxurious and vulnerable, a contrast that defines much of Starboy. While it’s not a high-energy anthem, its emotional weight makes it a fan favorite—one that lingers long after the last note fades. The collaboration between the two artists feels organic, their voices complementing each other in a way that feels both unexpected and inevitable.

For listeners who love the more introspective side of The Weeknd’s discography, "Stargirl Interlude" is a must-listen. It’s the kind of track that feels like a whispered secret, a moment of quiet reflection in an album full of bold, anthemic energy. Whether you’re revisiting Starboy or discovering it for the first time, this interlude serves as a reminder of how powerful a well-crafted collaboration can be—especially when two artists with such distinct but equally magnetic voices come together.
