Playboi Carti’s "Had 2" is a standout track from his 2017 debut album, Playboi Carti. Positioned at number 15 on the project, the song offers a glimpse into the artist’s early sound—a blend of raw energy and introspective lyricism that defined his rise in the late 2010s. Released as part of a full-length debut, the album marked Carti’s entry into the industry with a bold, unfiltered approach to rap, and "Had 2" became a fan favorite for its confident delivery and relatable storytelling.

The track’s genre leans into the trap-infused, melodic trap sound that dominated the era, though Carti’s production choices often leaned toward a more atmospheric, less formulaic approach. With its punchy basslines and layered vocals, "Had 2" captures the essence of Carti’s signature style—unpolished yet magnetic, blending street credibility with a touch of self-reflection. Fans of his work often highlight this song for its ability to balance swagger with vulnerability, making it a memorable piece in his discography.
