Mr Thela’s INTSIKA (KING OF GQOM) stands as a bold declaration of South African house music’s raw power, and the album’s closing track, Khanya, delivers a hypnotic blend of energy and soul. Produced with precision by Mr Thela and Borah RSA, the track weaves together pulsating beats and a hypnotic groove, setting the stage for a standout moment in the collection. The collaboration with Rhass and Maleta adds layers of vocal texture, their voices weaving through the rhythm like threads in a tapestry of sound.

At its core, Khanya captures the essence of Gqom’s infectious drive while expanding its emotional range. The production balances driving basslines with atmospheric depth, creating a space where the featured artists’ harmonies feel both grounded and soaring. Mr Thela’s signature touch shines in the way the track evolves, shifting seamlessly between intensity and introspection without losing momentum.

This is a track that embodies the spirit of INTSIKA, unapologetically bold, rhythmically precise, and rich with the kind of energy that lingers long after the last note fades. For fans of Gqom’s most electrifying moments, Khanya is a testament to how the genre can push boundaries while staying true to its roots.
