FKA twigs’ boldest electronic project yet arrives with "Been So," the closing track on her groundbreaking new album EXITECHNO. Positioned as the 13th and final cut on the record, the track arrives in 2026 as the culmination of a sonic journey that blends raw vulnerability with futuristic production. With its genre-defying sound—where synth-driven beats collide with introspective lyrics—"Been So" serves as a fitting closer, offering a moment of quiet reflection amid the album’s high-energy experimentation.

The track’s release marks a pivotal moment in FKA twigs’ artistic evolution, particularly as she pushes boundaries within electronic music. Though details about its lyrical themes remain intimate and personal, the composition itself stands out for its layered textures and hypnotic rhythm. Fans familiar with her work will recognize her signature blend of emotional depth and avant-garde soundscapes, though EXITECHNO pushes those elements into uncharted territory.

As the last piece of EXITECHNO, "Been So" invites listeners to linger on the album’s emotional arc, offering a sense of resolution without sacrificing its avant-garde spirit. Whether through its atmospheric production or the artist’s distinctive voice, the track underscores FKA twigs’ ability to transform electronic music into something deeply human. For those immersed in the album, it’s a moment to pause and appreciate the full scope of her creative vision.
